Every country and business has a set of laws and rules that are expected to be followed accordingly. However, most people simply couldn’t be bothered with what they consider to be trivial stuff, even if it's for their overall safety and well-being. Also, it’s not always possible to keep track of who’s doing what, unless you’re up for living in a dystopian world that is micromanaged by the government. Here are five laws and rules that no one, not even you, never really bothers to obey.\r \r 1. Shower Before Using A Public Pool\r \r Any decent person would understand the reasoning for this rule and simply comply. It’s a public pool, and you’ll be doing everyone and yourself a huge disservice by entering it dirty and covered in sweat and bacteria with equally dirty people. But it’s more so a moral dilemma and people will continue to do as they please because there’s no one to stop them—the lifeguard is only concerned about swimmers potentially drowning, not if they entered the pool without showering.\r \r 2. You Need A License To Sell Anything (Including Lemonade)\r \r In this capitalistic world, a license is technically needed for just about anything you plan on selling. Not even kids selling lemonade are exempt from this rule, and there have been occasions when their little stands were shut down. In these cases, the furious adults, not just the child’s family, organize a mini-revolt to let the government know how ridiculous it was to shut down a child’s mini business. And yes, this is a real thing that has occurred one too many times. So much trying to make some money during the summer!\r \r 3. Employees Wash Hands Before Returning to Work\r \r Many of us are taught to wash our hands after using the bathroom, especially if you’re about to handle food. Employees are pretty much expected to do the same due to the fact that they’re constantly interacting with other people, both customers and co-workers alike. Sure, some people wash up after using the bathroom but sadly, not enough people follow through with this. The reason for this could be that they simply don’t wash their hands very often, not even at their homes, so they certainly will not do it at their workplace.\r \r 4. No Home Gambling\r \r In America and many other countries, it is illegal to partake in gambling outside of casinos. So just remember that whenever you’re hosting your weekly basement game of poker with your buddies that you’re actually breaking the law. In reality, no one really cares, and police officers certainly don’t have the time and resources to crack down on every friendly home game, unless things get out of control. Unless something really crazy happens, there’s no reason for you to come under the suspicion of law enforcement.\r \r 5. Only Use The Left Lane To Pass\r \r Ah yes, the fast lane, where you give yourself permission to zoom away at 80 mph. Well, that’s not what the fast lane is really meant for. It’s actually a passing lane, meaning that you’re allowed to speed to pass somebody, then go back to the middle or right lanes or risk getting pulled over. But many people obviously pay no mind to this rule and do as they please. Though, every now and then a bored cop pulls over an unsuspecting driver, not because of the law, but rather because they have a ticket quota to fill.
