While it’s perfectly normal to be a fan of something, be it music, video games or food, many people morph into what many call a stan----you know, like the obsessed fan from that 2000 Eminem song of the same name. Like his crazy fan in the music video, these obsessed fans go to great lengths to prove their love and dedication. And it’s no different for these five crazy fans whose brand obsessions to the next level.\r \r 1. Two Westerosi Historians\r \r George R.R. Martin has been creating the fictional world of Westeros for over three decades now, and he’s even admitted that he has trouble remembering its entire history. That’s where his two biggest fans, Elio Garcia and Linda Antonsson of Sweden, come into play. They’ve been diehard fans since the 90s, to the point that they’ve created an incredibly detailed website that outlines the mythical world’s history. Even George R. R. Martin finds it to be pretty useful in keeping up with the continuity.\r \r 2. McGowan’s McLovin’ It in 53 Countries\r \r First of all, James McGowan is an overall health nut who mostly cooks with fresh ingredients, avoids fried foods and doesn’t drink or smoke. But his one vice is sampling strange McSpecial from all over the world, and purely for the novelty of the experience. And so far, he’s done this in 53 separate countries and has no plans of stopping anytime soon. The Canadian native has had super spicy chicken with rice in Thailand, salmon burger in Singapore and even a hamburger with a scoop of mashed potatoes in Japan.\r \r 3. Steve Sansweet, the Star Wars Fanatic\r \r The Star Wars franchise has one of the most devoted fandoms of all time. But there is no one more passionate than Steve Sansweet, a Wall Street Journal reporter who has long been captivated by the Star Wars lore. What was supposed to be a simple hobby turned into a straight up obsession that led to a legendary collection of over 300,000 unique Star Wars items that are on display in his Californian museum, Rancho Obi-Wan. This hardcore fanboy even offers guided tours himself, which goes on for nearly 4 hours as he relays his extensive knowledge of his impressive collection.\r \r 4. Apple Fans Spending Weeks in Line for the Newest iPhone\r \r Whenever a new iPhone is released, there’s always a sizable group of people who go to great lengths to get their hands on it before anyone else. Whereas some will camp out for days in line, many have taken it up a notch and will secure their spot weeks in advance. There have even been reports of full-blown fist fights erupting and others even paying homeless people to stand in line for them. Not to mention the opportunists who take advantage of the situation by setting up line sitting businesses. All this, so they could brag about having the latest flashy iPhone.\r \r 5. Over 100 Days of Chipotle\r \r Many people find Chipotle to be a great alternative to regular fast food chains, hence why they’re so popular. Which is why two of their biggest fans, both unrelated to each other, decided to find out what happens when you eat Chipotle for over 100 days. And they both so happened to document their experiences on social media (one created a website, the other hosted a Reddit AMA), detailing what they ate and how their stomachs handled it. And in an even stranger coincidence, both men ordered variations on the Burrito Bowl every single time.
